(WFI) Buildings throughout the city of Brasilia are illuminated in green and yellow to celebrate the 2014 World Cup.

Protests in Sao Paulo nearly shut down the Arena Corinthians stadium on Wednesday.

Police members held a protest to demand better salaries and members of various social movements took part in a so-called “World Cup without the people, I’m in the street again” protest.

The Brazilian national team is continuing its World Cup preparations at the squad’s Granja Comary training complex.
