First 2014 World Cup Match at Maracana Marred by Protests

June 15 – The Maracana’s first tournament match was tainted by protests nearby, with police firing stun grenades and tear gas to break up about 200 demonstrators. Anti-government and anti-FIFA protests also took place in two other cities on Sunday. INSIDER’s Mark Bisson reports.
