July 5 – A British parliamentary report into England’s failed 2018 World Cup bid slams FIFA for giving “every impression of wishing to sweep all allegations of misconduct under the carpet”. The report published today calls for FIFA to urgently review its governance of bidding processes and the English FA to review its strategy for engaging with world football’s governing body.
