(WFI) MasterCard will sponsor the UEFA Champions League for another three seasons.
The credit giant plans to extend special offers to cardholders at the UEFA Champions League MasterCard webshop for the renewal period.
MasterCard is also doubling down on its social media sites to provide Champions League news, updates, and expert insight to fans.
” The presence and active involvement of MasterCard has contributed to the great success of the UEFA Champions League – and will do so for the next three seasons,” David Taylor, CEO of UEFA Events SA, said in a statement.
“In return we expect to keep helping MasterCard create many priceless opportunities for millions of fans and cardholders worldwide.”
Javier Perez, president of MasterCard Europe, added: “We are are proud that we will continue to offer “priceless” experiences to everyone through this partnership. Last season alone saw bank and merchant promotions in over 60 countries and this announcement ensures we can continue to reward existing and potential customers in new and innovative ways.”
MLS Crew Secure Shirt Sponsor
Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew will have America’s No. 1 men’s shaving cream brand as their shirt sponsor next season.
The Crew struck a five-year deal with Perio, Inc. that will see its Barbasol brand emblazoned across jerseys. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The partnership announced Wednesday includes field-level LED signage and TV, radio and print advertising.
The Crew open their 17th season on March 10 at the Colorado Rapids.

Indian corporations, groups and individuals looking for Euro 2012 hospitality now have a place to go.
