Soccerex is delighted to announce the initial lineup of International football legends that will be playing in this year’s Football Festival on the iconic Copacabana beach as part of the Soccerex Global Convention, 26-30 November, Rio de Janeiro.

From Brazil, players include 1994 FIFA World Cup winners Aldair and goalkeeper Zetti and Copa America champion Djalminha. They will be coached by 1970 FIFA World Cup winner and football legend Carlos Alberto Torres.

Former ‘South American Player of the Year,’ Carlos Valderrama and Colombian great, Faustino Asprilla will also be joining the pitch.

From Europe, Dutch heroes, Pierre van Hooijdonk and Aron Winter, Italian goalkeeper Francesco Toldo and England legend Andy Cole will be proving they still have the skills in this exciting international tournament.

The Soccerex Football Festival is a two-day event which marks the beginning of the Global Convention. It‘s a celebration which combines colourful local entertainment with a host of football revelry provided by youth players, freestylers and football legends from around the world.

The ‘on the pitch’ action is enjoyed by both Soccerex attendees and local consumers alike before business begins with the 3-day conference and exhibition.
