Brands Back Soccerex Asian Forum

The Asian Football Development Fund, the Premier League, streetfootballworld, and Real Madrid will discuss their development projects at the Soccerex Asian Forum May 13-14.

“At Soccerex we focus on the business of football but we recognise that football is more than just a business and the game’s power to bring about social change never ceases to amaze me,” Soccerex marketing director, David Wright, said in a statement about the participants.

“We are delighted to bring together this panel of experts from the both the football and charity sectors, who are all carrying out excellent work in Asia.”
 
Representatives from the Asian Football Confederation, Royal Jordanian Airlines, PepsiCo and the Jordan Tourism Board will also have presences at Soccerex.

The Jordan Tourism Board and PepsiCo will serve as official event supporters.

Soccerex CEO Duncan Revie said: “These are first-class organisations that bring the sport and the community together, and we believe will help Jordan and the rest of the continent become a destination for the global industry and soccer fans alike for many years to come.”


Among other speakers confirmed are Qatar Football Association president
Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmad Al Thani, La Liga president Javier Tebas and Sunil Gulati, president of the US Soccer Federation.

World Stadium Congress

The World Stadium Congress will take place from May 19-21 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Doha, Qatar.

Mr Tariq Saed A. Al Abdulla, general manager & head of technical affairs of the Qatar Olympic Academy & Qatar Olympic Committee, will deliver the keynote address. It will be about Qatar Olympic Academy’s sport venue management program.

Architects from Zaha Hadid, Populous, IDOM/ACXT, HKS, and many others are also slated to speak.

The event is billed as “an international event promoting design and delivery of world-class sporting infrastructure around the world.” A masterclass will take place the first night, with the conference on the following two days.
