Soccerex Asian Forum
Spanish club Valencia CF will join Turkish club Galatasaray in the speakers line-up at the Soccerex Asian forum next month.
Luis Vicente, chief commercial and marketing officer, Valencia CF, will speak on the “Continent of Opportunity” panel to discuss Valencia’s global fanbase.
Luis has honed his commercial skills working for some of the biggest clubs and players in football and will be a fantastic addition to the Forum,” Soccerex marketing director David Wright said.
“Due to his vast experience within the industry he will be able to provide invaluable insights into doing business within the Asian market.”
The 2015 Asian Cup organising committee will also have a presence at the Soccerex Asian Forum. Mark Falvo, chief operating officer, will lead the delegation, with a joint presentation from the Australian Trade Commission.
“Match Australia,” Australia’s sport business program for the Asian Cup, will be showcased at Soccerex, showing Australia’s ability to host large sporting events and opportunities it presents for business.
“With major events very much a focal point for the world of football, we’re looking forward to sharing our successful pre-event activities, as well as the remaining challenges to putting on a major international event with our counterparts from across the world,” Falvo said in a statement.

Among other speakers confirmed are Qatar Football Association president Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmad Al Thani, La Liga president Javier Tebas and Sunil Gulati, president of the US Soccer Federation.

Leaders in Sport Summit
FC Barcelona vice-president Javier Faus will speak at the Leaders in Sport Summit that takes place on May 21 in New York City.
Faus will speak about how Barcelona is able to grow its global audience while promoting the Barcelona brand abroad. Faus is in charge of “finance and strategy” at FC Barcelona.
Faus is the fifth speaker to be announced joining Jörg Wacker, Executive Board Member, Bayern Munich FC; Mark Lazarus, Chairman, NBC Sports; Mark Tatum, Deputy Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer, NBA and Bruce Buck, Chairman, Chelsea FC for the event.
