Pacific Youth and Sports Conference

The Pacific Youth and Sports Conference is underway and running until Dec. 7 in Noumea, New Caledonia.

The three main themes are Health, Education including employment; and Social Inclusion. Various projects from youth throughout the region will be presented on these three topics, with the best projects winning prizes at the conference’s conclusion.

Participants from 19 different countries in the region will be taking place in the conference, which will be located at Arene du Sud in Paita, New Caledonia.

Soccerex 2014 Global Convention

FIFA vice president Jim Boyce has confirmed his attendance to the Soccerex 2014 Global Convention in Manchester, England.

“I am delighted to be participating in the Soccerex Global Convention next year in Manchester. The event has proven to be an important platform for the football community, one regularly used by my FIFA colleagues and I look forward to be involved in 2014,” said Boyce regarding his attendance.

He will be joined by Lord Sebastian Coe who will be presenting in a one-on-one session giving his insight on planning major sporting events.

“We are absolutely delighted and honoured to have such a major Olympic and sports legend as Lord Coe speaking at the Global Convention next year,” said Duncan Revie Soccerex CEO.

“His expertise on bidding, winning and delivering such a successful London 2012 Games will be an invaluable opportunity for anyone involved with major events.”

Dubai International Sports Conference

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola is one of the speakers for the Dubai International Sports Conference. Guardiola will speak on a panel with three other top managers to be named, coordinated by former England coach Fabio Capello.
“This session will a unique one in the history of football anywhere in the world wherein a top coach will supervise a discussion involving four other top coaches from across the world,” noted Mohammed Al Kamali, Head of the Organising Committee.
The theme for the conference will be “empowering the future of football,” and will take place on December 28-29.

Event Wales International Conference
Cardiff City FC’s Manager, Malky Mackay, striker Craig Bellamy and Chairman, Mehmet Dalman will speak on a panel at the 2013 Event Wales International Conference. Jonathan Ford, CEO of the Football Association of Wales, has been added to the panel. Ford will help discuss the growth of football in Wales as well as the commercial opportunities from this growth.
The panel will be entitled “Wales: A Premier Destination” and will discuss what Cardiff City’s promotion to the Premier League has done for the city.
Mike Lee of VERO Communications will chair the panel. Lee will also give a presentation on successful bids for international sporting events at the conference.
The conference will take place on December 5 at Cardiff City Football Stadium.
