The tourism campaign – which officially launches today, May 12 – consists of the videos “Meetings” and “Dancing.” The campaign will reach 1.3 billion people in 113 countries. Focused on the World Cup, the campaign seeks to highlight the customs of the Brazilian people and the many attractions of the country.
New York, May 12, 2014 – Brazil today launched a new international advertising campaign produced by the Ministry of Tourism through the Brazilian Tourism Board (Embratur). With one month before the opening of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Brazil invites tourists to enjoy this mega event and the multiple cultural and natural tourist destinations of the country, as well as the Brazilian passion for dance and football.
The campaign consists of the videos “Meetings” and “Dancing,” which highlight various unique Brazilian attributes: culture, the unforgettable experience of visiting the country and its tourist attractions, as well as the joy of the Brazilian people.
The video “Meeting” addresses the warmth, energy and hospitality of the Brazilian people, as well as the natural beauty of the country and the cultural and culinary experiences offered. The video includes a song by Brazilian pop singer Ivete Sangalo that became popular during the 2014 Carnival in Salvador, Bahia and is now presented in a new specially remixed jingle for this campaign.
The video titled “Dancing” highlights the unique attractions of the country, focusing on promoting the lifestyle of the Brazilian people, the passion for football and the fervor and intensity of its people, like our taste in music and dance.
Reflecting on the campaign, Vicente Neto, President of Embratur, said, “The hospitality of our country invites tourists from all continents to visit us. We prepared in a special way, knowing that Brazil will be the setting of the biggest sporting event, with an expected 600,000 international visitors in our country and more than 26.3 million viewers across the world. This new campaign aims to show a small preview of what Brazil has to offer.”
The campaign – which aims to reach 1.3 million people – will run on television, the web, social networks and on public roads in 113 countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
