Former Reuters and Manchester United strategist Carsten Thode has joined Europe’s leading sponsorship consultancy Synergy as Director of Consulting. Thode, an LSE and INSEAD graduate, brings over fifteen years of sponsorship strategy and brand consulting experience to Synergy.
He started his career as a strategy consultant for Marakon Associates, working on clients including Diageo, Schweppes, Boots and Lloyds TSB. He then spent seven years at Reuters in roles including Global Sponsorship Manager for Reuters’ golf and F1 sponsorships, Brand Manager and Head of Innovation Strategy, before becoming Head of Strategic Relationships at Manchester United.
More recently, Carsten has launched and managed two start-ups. He has an undergraduate degree from the LSE and an MBA from INSEAD.
