(WFI) EA Sports will remain the official technology partner of the English Premier League through at least the 2018-19 season.

As part of the agreement, EA Sports will sponsor the league’s Goal Decision System as well as continuing to support the EA Sports Player Performance Index and the Fantasy Premier League game.

The gaming company also now has access to all 20 Premier League clubs and their facilities for programming into the FIFA 15 video game.

EA chief operation officer Peter Moore said in a release that the agreement “brings our award-winning game to new levels of authenticity and realism, and enables fans to immerse themselves in the drama and emotion of the league.”

According to Premier League chief Richard Scudamore, EA Sports has “worked with our clubs to enhance the Premier League element of FIFA 15 like never before and, combined with their sponsorship of the EA Sports Player Performance Index and our Fantasy Premier League game, they continue to engage with football fans in a variety of innovative and exciting ways.”

Barca to Stream Via Dailymotion

A new deal was reached this week between FC Barcelona and video streaming site Dailymotion.

Per the agreement, Barca will launch a channel dedicated to club content and use the Dailymotion player as the exclusive video player on its official site.

The club will upload several hundred videos and live streams each month, according to a release from Dailymotion.

“By working in agreement with Dailymotion, FC Barcelona will be able to build on this to further enhance its video strategy and deliver an enhanced program that includes livestreams, pay-per-view, SVOD, and more on their website,” said Dailymotion executive Marc Eychenne.
